Galway, NY Reviews  By Ronald & Debra Riggi from Schenectady, NY Posted Feb 17, 2009 I hired Terry Baker from Best Construction in Oct 2008, to build a small 5' X 5" cellar way addition on my home and put a new roof on my house. The price was high but we felt Mr Baker, was an expierenced contractor of 26 yrs, and he would do a good job. We questioned the time of year for this type of job and he stated to us that he works year round no matter the weather. From the time of us making the deposit on Nov8, 2008 up until January 29th, he worked 48 hours. It is our opinion that Terry Baker, owner/operator of Best Construction Designs is under far to much stress to take on any jobs. I was forced to fire him. He requested I sign a paper stating he would leave all matterials that were at my home to date, and I would not owe him anymore money "IF" I did not seek legal action against him. IT is our opinion that Mr Baker from Best Construction Design out of Galway NY, is a slow and unexpierenced contractor as for roofing, additions and remodels. Mr Baker hired another roofing company to excavate our foundation and do our rood. I would NOT recommend Mr Baker or Best Construction Design Galway to anyone ever. I would advise anyone to seek a professional, who is willing to give a time line in writing and lput your money in escrow. I feel I was mistreated and taken advantage of. MY basement wall was removed in Nove and NEVER closed up again until January. It caused my heat bill to triple. WHen I spoke with Mr Baker about this he did not care. I could go on however I feel I have made my point. DO NOT HIRE TERRY BAKER FROM BEST CONSTRUCTION DESIGN OF GALWAY.
